I'm really sorry about what you have recently found out about your mum, I know how hard it is to cope with. My mum had grade 2 breast cancer and before she was diagnosed with it her and my dad anounced that they would be maybe splitting up so i had to cope with this worry then my mum came home crying one day saying she had breast cancer.
